Weekend Box Office Collection For 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha'

Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’ has proved once again that the rich content is what people love to experience at the theatres. The movie so far is doing fairly well at the box office. The movie ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’, directed by Shree Narayan Singh, sketches a story of how still, even after so many years of Independence and modernization our country lies in the clutches of old morals and superstitious. The story is about a newlywed woman who decides to leave her husband’s house because they don’t have a toilet at home. She refuses to defecate in open and demands that she will only return if they build a toilet at home. Toilet Ek Prem Katha Day Wise Collection The movie made on a budget of Rs. 22 Crores and 3000 screen count opened at 40-45 % of occupancy at the Box Office. The movie earned Rs. 13.10 Crore on Friday, Rs. 17.10 Crore on Saturday and Rs. 21.25 Crore on Sunday. The Monday the collections were Rs. 12 crore and Tuesday which happens to be Independence Day Holiday again proved to be a good business day for ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ at the ticket counters. The total Indian Business for the movie so far is Rs.63.45 Crore. This Akshay Kumar starrer has good potential in terms of acting, storyline, execution and social message and that is what makes the movie unstoppable. The movie has definitely rekindled flames the box office, set alight by ‘Baahubali 2’ in April.
