‘Vodka Diaries’ Day Wise Box Office Collection Budget Hit or Flop

Vodka Diaries Collection Report; The Movie Opens To A Slow Start In Initial Collections Suspense thriller Vodka Diaries, released on 19th of January 2018, received a lukewarm response at the box office. As per reports, the film collected just Rs.25 lakhs on day 1. Kay Kay Menon appears in the title role as a cop ACP Ashwini Dixit who is investigating the case of dead bodies pile found on a Shimla hotel ‘Vodka Diaries.’ While investigating, his wife goes missing mysteriously and in an anonymous call, he is asked to follow the clues left by the dead bodies to find the cause and rescue his wife. Earlier in an interview, Kay Kay Menon had said that he won’t be looking for the movie to be part of any box office collection clubs like 100 crore club or 200 crore club. Mandira Bedi appears as ACP’s wife Shikha Dixit. Raima Sen, Rishi Bhutani and Sharib Hashmi appear in pivotal roles. Directed and produced by Kushal Srivastava, Vodka Diaries is receiving a mixed response and reviews from the audience and the critics. The box office prediction reports suggest the film to earn up to 17 crores, provided the film gets a good word of mouth publicity. The movie is filmed at a cost of mere 7 crores and hence it is likely to collect more than the budget if everything goes well. The initial collection shows that the movie has failed to rise up to the expectations. The movie reviews also are not good enough to pull crowds to the theatres. We are not giving the verdict as a hit or flop, but we predict, based on the till date history, that the movie has fewer chances to be a hit.
