Vidya Balan Starrer Biopic 'Shakuntala Devi' To Premiere Globally On Amazon Prime Video

The novel coronavirus pandemic has enveloped the entire world in fear and panic following which a lockdown has been imposed in many nations worldwide. Following the deadly crisis and a nationwide lockdown, all the public places have been shut down, including theatres and cinema halls. It is speculated that the normal functioning of theatres would take time following which, OTT platforms and digital services have been coming to the rescue. Following the increase in the use and popularity of these digital streaming services, Anu Menon's upcoming Bollywood movie, Shakuntala Devi, is all set to release on the popular digital streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video. Considering the current situation all across the world the film was unable to hit the screens on the set release date, May 8, thus the makers of Shakuntala Devi announced that the biopic movie would be unveiled soon, also after many other movies like Laxmmi Bomb, Gulabo Sitabo are also slated to make a digital release. A release date has not been declared yet, however, the movie is speculated to release very soon.

However, as per reports, Anu Menon is very happy and excited that Shakuntala Devi will get a global premiere. The biographical movie that is based on the life of mathematician Shakuntala Devi also known as the “Human-Computer” was much anticipated by people and this happens to excite the director more who is keen to present the magic of the movie among the audience. Versatile actress Vidya Balan has been roped into the essay the role of the mathematician Shakuntala Devi, alongside actors Sanya Malhotra, Amit Sadh and Jisshu Sengupta. The announcement has brought in a sense of relief and excitement among fans who were already awaiting the release of the movie.
