Veteran Bollywood Choreographer Saroj Khan Passes Away At 71

Veteran Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan passed away at the age of 71 early morning today, 3 July 2020. The marvellous choreographer breathed her last at Mumbai's Guru Nanak Hospital after she could not survive a cardiac arrest. Saroj Khan had been admitted to the hospital since 20 June 2020 after she complained of severe breathing issues. The noted choreographer never failed to impress and her dance moves weaved their magic on the screens at all times. In view of the current coronavirus pandemic, the choreographer also had to undergo the mandatory test for COVID-19, however, Saroj Khan's test results had a negative result. The unfortunate information of her sad demise was reportedly broken to people by her nephew. Saroj Khan's death has left the Bollywood industry in shock and dismay. While celebrities and people are still grieving for the loss of Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput and Wajid Khan, Saroj Khan's death has shaken everybody to the core.

Saroj Khan was labelled as the 'Mother of dance/choreography in India' because of the veteran's fantastic skills and teaching techniques. Saroj Khan started her career as an independent choreographer with the 1974 movie 'Geeta Mera Naam'. However, Saroj Khan rose to prominence after working with Sridevi for 3 films. Saroj Khan had never looked back since and received her transformation as an acclaimed choreographer. With a career span of more than 40 years, Saroj Khan had won three National Awards for the movie Devdas, Jab We Met and a Tamil movie Shringaram besides many others for her amazing choreography. The late actor had choreographed around 2000 songs. Many Bollywood actors have paid their tributes to the late ace choreographer as waking up to this extremely sad news has left everybody in dismay and in appreciation for the late actor.
