'Toliet: Ek Prem Katha' Is Akshay' s 5th Consecutive 100 Crore Grosser

The success story of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Toilet Ek Prem Kath’ is not a secret. The movie opened with a bang on 11^th of August at the cinema halls and within 8 days crossed the 100 crore mark in the first. The movie is Akshay Kumar’s 8th entry into the 100 crore club and his 5th consecutive 100 crores grosser. ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ came as a big relief for Indian Film industry after months of bad phase at the box office. The Akshay Kumar-Bhumi Pednekar starrer movie is a light hearted, family entertainer with a social messages embedded in it nicely. Now Akshay has gone ahead of Shahrukh Khan in terms of 100 crores grosser. The reason behind it is also that Akshay does more movies than Shahrukh, and if Shahrukh’s ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ would have done well at the Box Office, both of them would have been on the same page. Actor Salman Khan is still at the top with 11 entries in, 100 crore movies club. But certainly, 100 crore is no benchmark for Salman and Aamir as they have raised the expectations bar too high with their last releases. Hrithik Roshan has 4 entries and Ajay Devgan has 5 entries in 100 crore movies club.
