Salman Khan's Movie 'Tubelight' Manages To Reach The 100 Crore Mark In Seven Days

Salman Khan’s 'Tubelight' was expected and predicted to do a massive business. Considering the movie to be Salman Khan Starrer, Kabir Khan directed and releasing on the festival of Eid. But none of the factors could save the movie and it went on to become the lowest opener of Salman Khan Movie. The movie has now after seven days of its release has managed to cross the Rs 100 crore mark. The film opened on Friday with a collection of Rs 20.75 crore followed by Rs 19.75 crore on Saturday and on Sunday the movie collected Rs 22.25 crore. On Monday the movie collected Rs 18.50 crore and on the Tuesday's collections were recorded Rs 11.75 crore. On Wednesday the graph dipped way too low and the collections registered were 6.50 crore whereas on Thursday the movie earned only 4.50 crores. The movie set against the backdrop of the Sino –Indian war in 1962, failed to impress the masses. The movie was an official remake of the Hollywood film 'Little Boy'. The movie had a stellar star cast, and a capable Director yet the movie couldn’t pull of a heartwarming story well. Along with Salman Khan, the movie had Sohail Khan, Zeeshan Ayub, Om Puri, Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and child artist Martin Rey Tangu in pivotal roles.
