Ranveer Singh Biopic film on 1983 World Cup Win: Release date is out

The film 1983 starring Ranveer Singh, has finally got a release date. The Padmavat actor is all set to play the role of former veteran Indian Cricket Captain Kapil Dev on the silver screen. The world cup that took the nation with its smashing surprise winning still gives chills to the bones to its many cricket fans and people of the country as it is a matter of pride.“The journey of the 1983 team is a story of inspiration which proves that one can achieve anything if they aim for it and work for it no matter what the world thinks," Kapil says. The world cup was won against the defending champions west indies. The much-awaited biopic will hit the screen on 5th April 2019.  The film is directed by Kabir Khan,  and Produce by Anurag Kashyap’s & Phantom Films. The production team took the twitter to announce the news of the release.
