‘Raabta’ And ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ Box Office Collection

Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer released on 9^th June with Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan’s ‘Behen Hogi Teri’. ‘Raabta’ was expected to open big as it had more screens and star power, but it manages to open with just Rs 5.61 crores. The next day the number drops to Rs 5.11 crores. And on Sunday the movie earns 5.21 crores. The movie stands at 15.9 crores right now. Surprisingly, ‘Raabta’ didn’t do as it was expected. With harsh reviews and bad storytelling, ‘Raabta’ might turn to be one of the biggest failures of the year. As per the reports, director Dinesh Vijan, made the movie in a budget of 55 crores. But looking the trend at the Box Office, ‘Raabta’ might not be able to recover its investment. On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao's ‘Behen Hogi Teri’, had better reviews than ‘Raabta’, but failed massively to connect with the audience. With the limited screens of just 757 screens, the movie collected 0.35 crore on the first day and 0.45 crore and is now fading away from the theatres. What hurt both the movie's collections the most was the Hollywood movie ‘The Mummy’ featuring superstar Tom Cruise being released on the same day which earned around 3.5 crores on its first day. And another thing was the Sunday match between India VS South Africa that again hampered the collections.
