‘Padmavati’ Gets The Censor Board Clearance In The UK

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ has been on a big controversy, as we know and because of that the makers had to postpone the release date of the movie in India, it was to release on 1st December earlier but now the makers have postponed the release date and the new release date in India has not been announced as of yet. However, the Indian problem has not been an issue in the foreign market. It’s been announced that the movie got the Censor Board Clearance in the United Kingdom, The BBFC has given the film 12A rating without any cuts; the approved run time of the movie is 163 minutes, which is 2 hours 43 minutes. The movie is scheduled to release on 1st December in the UK, which earlier was the official Indian release date of the movie. The movie is facing a lot of problems to get a release date in India as it is one of the biggest issues going on in the country, the Rajput Karni Sena is demanding to ban the movie, on the other hand, they are giving threats to the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the lead actress Deepika Padukone to behead them. However, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has cleared that there is no controversial scene in the movie but still they are making it a political issue. The movie stars Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor as Raja Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji. It also stars actors like Jim Sarbh and Aditi Rao Hydari in prominent roles.
