"I Am Not Yash Chopra, Nowhere Close To Him", Says Imtiaz Ali

Imtiaz Ali is often compared with the iconic movie director Yash Chopra, with his romantic movie like ‘Jab we Met’, ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Tamasha’. The audience finds quite a similarity in his filmmaking and legendary director Yash Chopra. In a recent interview, Imtiaz was asked that how he feels when he is compared to Yash Chopra, to which he replies, “To be compared with someone like Mr. Yash Chopra is both pride and little embracing to me, you see, there was one Yash Chopra and there will be only one Yash Chopra, I am nowhere close to him”. He also talked about working with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ and having a great experience with him. “I am happy that I got to work with Mr. Shah Rukh Khan, he is an incredible human being. I hope the movie does well,”. He was also asked about his friend Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’, to which he said, “Ranbir is a dear friend to me and I wish him all the very best for ‘Jagga Jasoos’, when you have one of the finest directors Anurag Basu and one of the finest actors Ranbir Kapoor together in one movie, chances of going wrong are bleek. Definitely, I’ll be going first-day-first-show for this movie.”. Imtiaz Ali's next directorial venture ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ will release on 4^th August, where Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma will be seen in the lead role.
