Neena Gupta To Play Rishi Kapoor's Wife In 'Mulk'

Actress Neena Gupta has recently been signed in for Anubhav Sinha's ‘Mulk, which stars veteran actor Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu.  In the movie, Neena will be seen essaying the role of Rishi Kapoor’s wife and she has begun her training for the role already. This will be the first time Neena Gupta and Rishi Kapoor will be teaming up. Talking about Anubhav and the movie the actress said, “ Anubhav approached me at a time when I was desperately seeking quality work. It was a really thoughtful gesture on his part to reach out to me at a time when I was undergoing this inner turmoil. 'Mulk' is a great and experimental movie and I am very excited and happy to be a part of it.” Talking about the actress Anubhav said, "She fits the requirement of the role flawlessly. After I saw her Instagram post, I didn't hesitate at all to pick the phone and call her because there are some people in the industry who are timeless and she is one of them." Anubhav Sinha is both director and producer of ‘Mulk’added by stating that he was unable to find a match for the role for a long time and probably because she was destined to be a part of the movie. A social thriller based on true life events, ‘Mulk’" will go on floors in October. It will also feature Prateik Babbar and Rajat Kapur. The movie will be shot in Varanasi and Lucknow and will release early next year.
