Movie Review : Fanney Khan-Story Of Dreams and Hopes

We often get stuck in some situations where it becomes paramount to make a choice between our beautiful dreams and inescapable responsibilities. We say dream big to achieve big but sometimes dreams depends upon our wallet. When a person becomes helpless and couldn't live what he/she dreamt of then they satisfy their heart with only one hope that if not them their young ones will live their dreams.

Plot: That's what the story of Fanney Khan shows you. Atul Manjrekar directorial movie Fanney Khan is inspired by a 2000 Dutch film, Everybody's famous. The star cast for this movie includes a debutant that is Pihu Sand who will be playing the role of a girl who sings well and dances gracefully despite her body size. But often becomes a laughing stock and a matter of body shaming. The movie also includes Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Divya Dutta.

Anil Kapoor in the movie as Prashant Sharma had a dream which he couldn't fulfill but wants to give every possible thing to his daughter. He goes day in, day out just to meet up with his families needs and dreams. Prashant Sharma sung and danced and so was known as "Fanney Khan" by his friends. So, the story flows like this- Prashant Sharma despite being a middle-class man wants to make her daughter the next singing sensation but couldn't possibly afford too much for her. Divya Dutta who plays the role of Prashant Sharma's wife keeps on making him realise the difference between dreams and reality. The movie shows different shades of relationships and life. The movie starts very well and has few awe moments in the movie even though the plot completely takes a different turn when Aishwarya and Rajkummar enter the story. Aishwarya plays a role of a rockstar namely 'Baby Singh' who looked mesmerizingly beautiful. But her story doesn't seem to have a logic which might distract the audience. Even the chemistry between Rajkummar and Aishwarya seemed forced but the lifesaver dialogues did the magic for the movie.

WHY WATCH THE MOVIE: Overall the movie did nice work and the cast too was satisfying. The lifesaver dialogues are the plus point for the movie. The movie portrays how parents struggle when their child's dreams shatter into pieces and how they give their best to rebuild it. The best part of the movie is Anil Kapoor, the man swiped the floors with his acting skills.
