More than 150 movies from all across the world will be shown in Mumbai Film Festival

The 17th Jio Mami Mumbai Film festival will start from 29 October and it will showcase more than 150 moves from all across the world. This will include popular feature, short and documentary movies. Jewelry designer Nirav Modi has designed the trophy for the festival that was revealed on Wednesday. According to the film director Dibakar Banarjee, there will be 31 Indian movies in this festival which are never been shown before. In the Indian gold category, 13 movies will be nominated for the best movie award. In the category of Indian story, 15 fiction movies and 5 documentary movies are included. There has been a new category named "After Dark" included this time in which horror and science fiction movies will be shown. In the festival even children are also taken care of. A special category named "Half Ticket" has been introduced for the children that will show movies related to children. It will include fiction, animation and feature films and will even present the jury for the children's award. The children will even get a chance to meet the directors and writers and learn film making from them. In this festival two prizes will be given in regard to the popularity and great work.It will be given to one Indian and one to an International celebrity. Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan from India and Israel director Amos Gitai has been selected for this. This year tribute will be paid to France director Agnes Varda, who has received the most prestigious award Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
