Manoj Bajpayee Feels More At Home While Doing Content Driven Movies

Manoj Bajpayee has always impressed the audience with his incredible performances in almost every film. The actor has given memorable performances in the movies like ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’, ‘Satya’, ‘Rajneeti’, ‘Special 26’ and of course ‘Aligarh’, which is said to be one of the best performances of all time. Now, Manoj has done a lot of commercial films in the past like ‘Veer Zaara’, ‘Rajneeti’, ‘Aarakshan’ and many more but he feels more at home while doing the content-driven movies. His ‘Rukh’ is currently running in the theatres and it has got a positive reaction from the critics. The movie tells the story of a young boy who wants to know about his father’s death. Manoj Bajpayee said that he loves to be the part of the movies like ‘Rukh’, “when I read the story, I found all the elements in it to be a classic novel. The story is just amazing, and I instantly wanted to do it, I am happy that it’s in the theatres and people are liking it”, he said. He also said that as an actor, you have to have your own perception of the story. Talking about commercial films, he said that he mostly do commercial films just because of good relationships with the filmmaker but also revealed that directors like Neeraj Pandey are changing the landscape of commercial cinema in India. Manoj has worked with Neeraj in ‘Special 26’ and now he will be seen again in his directorial ‘Aiyaary’, which also stars Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role. “I love working with Pandey, he has a unique way of telling the story in a commercial way. I don’t feel that I am out of zone while working with him”, she said.
