'Lipstick Under My Burkha' Actress Aahana Kumra Opens About How She Shot Sex Scenes In The Movie

The movie ‘Lipstick Under My Burkha’ after a long fight for its release in India, it has finally seen a ray of light in theatres. Looking at the trailer of the movie, it is quite evident that the movie is going to be admired by a select set of people and many would not understand the core message it intends to get forward. Looking at the movies bold and upfront content many must have wondered how it goes about when the actors actually shoot such intimate scenes while filming the movie and looking at actress Aahana Kumra was approached and was asked how she felt doing all that in front of the camera to which she replied. "Initially, I was very hesitant and I was shy to do the scenes because I didn't know how to go about it.” The actress further said, “Before we shot for such scenes, Vikrant and I did workshops and were comfortable with each other. But every time Alankrita used to say, "Action!" we used to stand, looking at each other like idiots.” She stated that the scenes that you see on screen flowing smoothly actually when they are shot they are bit awkward. She also shared that she had an advantage as she had a female director. On Ahana’s request, Alankrita used to ask all the crew to leave the room of shooting till they are done with the shot so that she could comfortably concentrate on the scene.
