Karan Johar reveals when underworld don Abu Salem threatened him

The film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was the first film of Karan Johar's directorial career and recently in his biography, Karan Johar revealed that he put all his effort into making Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. So, in that case, he got the pressure of making this film a successful. Karan has revealed that a few days before Kuch Kuch Hota Hai released Abu Salem threatened him. Karan Johar has written that the premiere of the film was supposed to happen and all the invitation cards have been distributed. My Masi came to us for some help and I went to leave her outside the gate. My mother was lonely so one call came and my mother picked up the call. The person who called said your son has worn red T-shirt, I can see him and if the film released on Friday, I will shot him. Karan further added for some reasons they didn't want to release my film but we don't know why. The call was from Abu Salem and my mother was shivering from fear. That time was very difficult for my mother. As soon I got back to her she locked me in the room and told me to call the cops. Karan revealed how people left the screening of his film Karan wrote, in evening Aditya Chopra, Shahrukh Khan, and Police reached to my home. Police assured them they will secure me but they should not stop the release of the film. They locked me in a safe room so I can be safe and the whole industry reached to watch my film. My father had very good relations so everyone wanted that my film should get hit. Karan talked about Shahrukh and his son Abram Karan further added I had a dream that I could watch Shammi Kapoor coming outside of his car to watch my film. My mother was sad that I couldn't be able to see this memory. So in this, Shahrukh came to me and carried out by dragging and said I am standing in front of you, let'see who will kill you. Shahrukh made believe to my mother that I am a Pathan nothing will happen with you son. He is like my brother. Then on Monday, Aditya Chopra called me and said that the film is blockbuster and people are going crazy for it.
