Director Eeshwar Nivas Is All Set To Recreate 1965's 'Gumnaam'

Director Eeshwar Nivas who last directed the movie ‘Total Siyaapa’ that had Ali Zafar and Yami Gautam in lead roles and Anupam Kher and Kiron Kher in supporting roles,  is now all set to make a remake of 1965’s thriller ‘Gumnaam’. Gumnaam movie was about seven people who get trapped on an island for some reason and one by one each of them goes missing. The movie then featured Nanda and Manoj Kumar in the lead role and more actors like Helen, Pran, Madan Puri, Mahmood and Tarun Bose. The movie was based on a famous novel of Agatha Christies ‘Than There Were None’. The movie had a horror song ‘Gumnam Hai Koi’ which was chartbuster of that time. Another song from the movie that is admired till date is ‘Hum Kaale Hain To Kya Hua’ which was sung by Mohd. Rafi and was picturised on Mehmood and Helen. It is said that Nivas is done with the movie's scripting and now will soon start casting for the movie. His last movie ‘c’ was also a remake of Spanish-Argentine movie only human, where they showcased the story of an Israeli and Palestinian couple and here in the Indian version of the movie the couple was shown as Indian and Pakistani.
