Court gave notice to Haryana Government in case of Kiku Sharda

Kiku Sharda has appealed in Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking quashing of FIRs registered by the Haryana police against him for hurting religious sentiments Stating that Dera Sacha Sauda is "neither a religion nor accorded any recognition as religious sect". He has also alleges that mutliple FIRs were lodged against him with the regard to the same program through Dera followers with a view to harass, humiliate and terrorize him. Taking action on his appeal, High Court Justice Rajesh Bindal has issued notice to the Haryana Government to respond the appeal raised by the actor. High Court has given strict orders not to arrest Kiku Sharda in the case related to the Gurmeet Ram Rahim controversies. Court has asked the answer from the state government by 4 February. This order is given after the petition filed by Kiku Sharda, who is facing the charges of hurting religions sentiments by mimicking Dera Sacha Sauda's controversial chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Kiku has got relief from Panjab and Haryana Court.
