Big Announcement: 7 Bollywood Movies To Release On Disney+ Hotstar

Amid the current coronavirus pandemic outbreak, people have been forced to stay indoors while public places including theatres and cinema halls remain shut. However, during these bleak times, OTT platforms and digital streaming services have evolved as the most prominent source of entertainment. Following the deadly COVID-19 crisis, many movies have already been released digitally and there are many others on the list. Recently, a big announcement has brought forward a list of 7 movies that are all set to release and premiere on Disney+ Hotstar in the months July, August, September, October 2020. The information has left people excited and in anticipation. The big announcement was officially made by renowned stars of the Bollywood industry who came together on a LIVE session Bollywood ki home delivery on Disney+ Hotstar that was held today, 29 June, 2020 at 4.30 pm. Film critic, Taran Adarsh among others shared the exciting news officially.

The movies scheduled to release on Disney+ Hotstar are Akshay Kumar's 'Laxmmi Bomb', Ajay Devgn's 'Bhuj: The Pride Of India', Alia Bhatt's 'Sadak 2', Sushant Singh Rajput's 'Dil Bechara', Abhishek Bachchan's 'The Big Bull', Vidyut Jamwal's 'Khuda Haafiz' and Kunal Khemu's 'Lootcase'. All these movies are set to completely skip a theatrical release and premiere digitally on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar. However, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's movie 'Dil Bechara' is scheduled to be the first release among the entire list of movies. Through Dil Bechara, the film industry aims to celebrate the talented Sushant Singh Rajput's legacy. The movie will be released as a homage to the late actor. The movie happens to the last project that was helmed by Sushant and releasing it is an attempt to celebrate the life that Sushant led. The official reveal of the movies scheduled to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar has been warmly accepted by fans as watching movies from the comfort of one's home has now turned out to be the latest trend.
