‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ Starring Shahid Kapoor Release Date Revealed

A few months ago, it was reported that ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ director Shree Narayan Singh is planning his second directorial movie with Shahid Kapoor in the lead role, we didn’t know the title of the movie, but now it’s revealed, the movie is titled ‘Batti Gul Meter Gul’. Now, we don’t know what the movie is all about but as per rumours, it will also be a socially relevant film. Shree Narayan has worked with acclaimed filmmaker Neeraj Pandey in all of his movies until he decided to make his own movie and now he is looking to take his career as a director forward. It’s been just announced that ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ will be released on 31^st August 2018. It looks like Shahid is doing very limited movies as of late. Earlier, he used to do two-three films in one year, now, his films come once in a while, which is actually good for him, he should do less but important films. He has given some amazing performances in ‘Haider’ and ‘Utda Punjab’ in last few years and again looking to give a good performance in his upcoming film. Shahid, right now is busy with the promotions of his upcoming epic historical film ‘Padmavati’ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, where he will be playing the role of Raja Ratan Singh, the movie will be released on 1^st December and is expected to be one of the biggest movies of the year. Deepika Padukone will be playing his wife Rani Padmini and Ranveer Singh will be seen as the antagonist Alauddin Khilji in the movie. Now, Shree Narayan Singh in his first movie touched a subject which was never been talked before in Bollywood and five years ago no one would have thought that we will see a movie on this subject, it would be interesting to know the theme of his second movie with Shahid.
