‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ Might Star Shraddha Kapoor As The Female Lead

Recently, it was announced that the director of the movie ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, Shree Narayan Singh will be working with Shahid Kapoor in his next film titled ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’. The movie will be shot in Uttrakhand and will again show the rural part of India, just like his previous movie. Shahid said that he is excited to work in this movie as this will be the first time he will do something like this. Now, the speculation on the leading lady of the movie is going on, there were rumours that Katrina Kaif will be seen with Shahid in the movie but when Kat was asked about the same, she declined it. Now, the report says that Shraddha Kapoor has been approached by the makers of the movie for the female lead but Shradha has yet to give a nod. Well, Shahid in a recent interview was asked about the female lead of the movie, to which he replied by saying, “No female lead has finalized as of yet. Once, its finalized, you’ll know”. When the director Shree Narayan was asked about the same, he said that they are still scripting the movie, so how would they know who will play the role. “The female character in the movie is very important, and I have met a lot of people”, he said. Shree also stated that he is excited to shoot in Uttrakhand and described it as one of the best destinations in India. The movie is scheduled to release in August next year. Let’s see whether the movie impresses the audience or not. Shahid, on the other hand, is getting ready for his next release ‘Padmavati’, where he is playing the role of Raja Ratan Singh and it will release on 1^st December. It is expected to be one of the biggest movies of the year.
