The Basic Premise Of ‘Dhadak’ And ‘Sairat’ Are Same: Shashank Khaitan

Shashank Khaitan, who has made movies like ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya’a nd “Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ in the past is all set for his third directorial film and this time it will be the Hindi remake of Marathi Blockbuster ‘Sairat’ and it’s titled ‘Dhadak’. Now, the Marathi movie came last year, Karan Johar hinted many times that he will be making the Hindi remake of the movie and now here we are in the movie. Shashank Khaitan in a recent interview said that the basic premise of both the movies are same the idea of caste difference and honour killing is there; however, they have changed something in the film. He said, “It wasn’t tough to get the poster look for the film as we have written and the world that we have created was relatable. And also the idea of the poster was to remain as honest as possible to the film that we want to make”. Shahshank also revealed that the story of ‘Dhadak’ is based on Rajasthan it gives the overview of that place. Well, it sounds good as ‘Sairat’ was based in Maharashtra, it would be interesting to see the same story in a different place. ‘Sairat’ created history as it became the first Marathi film to gross over 100 crores, let’s see whether ‘Dhadak’ can do that or not. ‘Dhadak’ will be the Bollywood debut of Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khattar; now this will be Ishaan’s second film as he will first be featured in Majid Majid’s ‘Beyond The Clouds’, which will release some time around February next year, but technically this will be his first Bollywood film; well, appearing in Majid Majidi film is already a big thing for Ishaan, he must be a good actor as he appeared in the movie of one of the finest filmmakers of the world.
