Ayushmann Khurrana Replaces Sidharth Malhotra In A Comedy Film

Things are looking good for Ayushmann Khurrana, after giving two back to back hits; Ayushmann is actually getting some good roles. His previous films ‘Bareilly Ki Barf’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Savadhan’, were Box Office success and Ayushmann was praised for his performance, his next film is with Sriram Raghavan titled ‘Shoot The Piano Player’, which is a thriller and he will be seen as a pianist in the movie. Now, according to the latest report, Ayushmann replaced Sidharth Malhotra in a comedy film; well, this is not official news but as the things are going, we might see Ayushmann in this film. The report says that the latest success of Ayushmann Khurrana in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Savadhan’ helped him to get the role. It also said that Sidharth, right now is not a bankable star, his movies like ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ and ‘A Gentleman’ became a Box Office failure and that put the makers of the film on doubt on his capability to attract the audience. Well, Sidharth’s latest release ‘Ittefaq’ is actually doing well at the Box Office, but we can say that ‘Ittefaq’ is not about stars and actors and it attracted the audience because of its storyline. Now, it certainly shows that producers are losing faith in Sidharth as a star, but he has some interesting projects to come, first he will be seen with Manoj Bajpayee in ‘Aiyaary’ directed by filmmaker Neeraj Pandey and the biopic of Captain Vikram Batra, who was the army officer during the 1999 Kargil War, and it might change the things for Sidharth, it is true that he has failed to grab the attention of the audience and these two movies are very crucial for his career. In a comedy film, Ayushmann is obviously a better choice than Sidharth, and it would be interesting to see him in this film.
