‘Tumhari Sulu’ Had A Very Strong Weekend With A Tremendous Growth

Vidya Balan starrer ‘Tumhari Sulu’ released this Friday with a very underwhelming response, not big things were expected from the movie, but the good reviews from the critics helped the movie a lot. The movie was released with very limited screens of approx. 800, which is not very good but still manages to have a tremendous growth at the Box Office. Along with Vidya, the movie starred Manav Kaul, Neha Dhupia and Vijay Maurya in the prominent roles. The movie opened up with 2.87 crores on Friday, which is average but had a really good Saturday and Sunday, it collected 4.61 crores on Saturday and 5.39 crores on Sunday, which is awesome. The total Box Office collection of this movie is 12.87 crores and it is expected to have a decent run this week too. Now, the fact that there was no big movie to release with ‘Tumhari Sulu’ helped it. November has been really kind to these small budget films, first we saw the success of ‘Iteefaq’ starring Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha, then last week we had Irrfan Khan’s ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ and Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’, which also worked well at the Box Office and now ‘Tumhari Sulu’. Next week we have movies like ‘Firangi’ and ‘Kadvi Hawa’, let’s see what we get from these movies. Vidya Balan was struggling to give a good Box Office success, her last film ‘Begum Jaan’ was good but it didn’t have the mainstream Box Office success. As the things are going right now ‘Tumhari Sulu’ will be the Box Office success as its budget is approx. 25 crores and it has collected 12.8 crores on its first weekend.
