'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' Day Wise Box Office Collection Budget Hit or Flop

Box Office Collection: Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety Made with a small budget, Bollywood film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety is earned Rs. 6.42 crores on day 1. The movie performed rather well across the major cities and not just in North India, say the reports. It is predicted to earn approximately Rs. 14 crore at the end of this weekend. The film gained 30 to 35 percent of occupancy for the morning show and registered the second-highest opening at the box office for the year 2018 after Deepika Padukone – Shahid Kapoor – Ranveer Singh trio’s Padmaavat. The film has even beaten Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Pad Man’ in the morning show occupancy. Marketed almost as a successor to the 2011 director’s hit movie ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama,’ Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (SKTKS) was predicted to do well at the box office collection. The SKTKS follows the theme and is related to the 2011-hit film in many ways including the way of treatment among others. If things go well for the weekend, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety will turn out to become a success and will help every one of the film gain attention. It’s not the right time to give the verdict as the movie to be a hit or flop but we have reasons to believe that this will become a hit. Sidharth Malhotra’s Aiyaary which released last Friday did not perform in the theatres as expected. No other new movies were released in the second Friday of February. Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat and Aiyaary are still in the theatres. This will affect the gross collection. Black Panther is another movie running successfully across the globe. This action-packed thriller has everything to attract the young audience which is also the target of SKTKS. Hence, there are chances that this Hollywood thriller becomes the major competitor in the race of Box office collection. We will have to wait until the weekend to get a clearer picture.
