The year 2017 has been a blast for Rajkummar Rao, he has done five films so far and impressed the audience in all of that. He started the year with Vikramaditya Motwani’s ‘Trapped’, where he was locked in a flat without food and electricity, his second appearance was in the rom-com ‘Behen Hogi Teri’ with Shruti Haasan, then he was seen with Ayshmann Khurrana and Kriti Sanon in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’. And of course, everyone knows about ‘Newton’, which is India’s official entry for the Oscars next year.
‘Newton’ is so far the best movie of Bollywood of 2017, and it is a very good choice for the Oscars, it also stars Pankaj Tripathi and directed by Amit V Masurkar. Rajkummar Rao has been appreciated all over the world for his performance in this movie and now he is nominated for the Best Actor in the prestigious Asia Pacific Screen Awards.
Now, this is big for Rajkummar, over the years he has given some incredible performances in the movies like ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’, ‘Ragini MMS’, ‘Shahid’, ‘Citilights’ and many more. Finally, after so many years he is getting the recognition that he deserves.

‘Newton’ is also been nominated for the Best Screenplay in Asia Pacific Screen Award, the movie was released a few weeks ago with Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Bhoomi’ and Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Haseena Parkar’ and completely outshined those two movies. As of now, ‘Newton’ has earned Worldwide around 30 crores and labelled as a Hit, and it shows that Bollywood is changing and now people like to see good content driven movies.
Now all the eyes are at the Oscars to see what happens with ‘Newton’, we hope that it will get some recognition their too.
