Not Shraddha But Alia Was The First Choice To Star With Prabhas In ‘Saaho’

We all know that Shraddha Kapoor is set to make her South Indian debut with the movie ‘Saaho’ starring Prabhas in the lead role. She came on board after the original choice Anushka Shetty left the film for some other projects. The movie also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh as the antagonist in the movie. Well, now we came to know that before Shraddha Kapoor another actress was offered the role to play the lead role but she denied. According to a leading daily, actress Alia Bhatt was offered the role in ‘Saaho’ but knowing the importance of her role in the movie, she denied. Filmmaker Karan Johar was excited about this collaboration and he tried very hard to convince Alia to sign this film as this would have also been her south debut too, but she didn’t do that. It’s been stated that the heroine’s role barely has any scenes in comparison to Prabhas. Well, when we think about it, Alia took the right decision on not coming on board with ‘Saaho’, she is currently giving back to back powerful films with powerful performances and we can see that in her previous films like ‘Udta Punjab’ and ‘Dear Zindagi’. She has signed some interesting movie, where she plays a very important role; ‘Raazi’ is one of them, where she will be seen as Kashmiri spy. If she would have signed ‘Saaho’ with a limited screen time, it would have hurt her career. After ‘Baahubali’, Prabhas has become a household name, everyone knows him as Baahubali, which is good, he made that character larger than life and quite frankly, he was the best choice to play that role, no one could have done that better than him.
