Plot - Newton tells the story of Newton Kumar, a rookie government clerk. He was sent for the election duty to a small town controlled by the naxalites in Chhattisgarh. He tries his best to conduct a free and fair voting despite having dispassion for his job and fear of guerrilla attacks by the communist rebel. The Moaists and the police at that place, whitewashes the minds of the tribal people. The Maoists want the tribal people to boycott the election, while the police think election is nothing more than a joke. But Newton makes sure that the local gets their right, which is given to them by the constitution. Despite having no passion for his job, Newton does his job.
