REVIEW:- There are very few movies in Bollywood, which touches this relevant subject. Now, to a young generation, this movie is very important, knowing the precautions of their doings are important for this generation, and this film does that. To be honest, this looks like a high-quality web series, the content and story of this movie is just like a web series. Well, the movie stars Sumeet Vyas and Kalki Koechlin in the lead role have done a good job here. Sumeet, who has already made a name for himself in the world of web series, made his return to films with this movie and quite frankly this role was made for him. We saw him in the web series ‘Permanent Roommates’, season 1 & 2, where he played a similar kind of role, his role in the second season was just like his role in this film, so he wouldn’t have any difficulties in playing this role.

Kalki, on the other hand, played the role of a panic-stricken woman, she tried her best to make a connection with the audience and comes really close but didn’t make an impact. Now, Kalki is a great actress, she has given some amazing performances in the past and here also she gives a good performance but her character was not written properly, every time audience tries to connect with her character something happens and it’s frustrating.

'Ribbon' is a good film, but it’s not great, it could have been but it’s not. However, it is a good attempt by the director Rakhee Sandilya and we hope that we get to see more ambitious projects like this in the project. As a viewer, you will not hate this movie, you will actually like it. Rakhee has done some things which have never been done before in Bollywood and for that hat’s off to her, this will really attract the young audience and they will relate to it.

The first half really goes well and you get invested in the story, however, the second half drags it and when I say drag, I mean drag, it literally slows down and bores the hell out of the other part of the audience. Now, slowing done of a film is not a big deal, we have seen a lot of slow films which is called classic but this film is not a sci-fi or a thriller and when a film like this slows down, it really bores the audience.

However, the movie still manages to be called as an above average and that’s because of great performances and new kind of script. The young generation should watch this film, they will enjoy it.

WHY TO WATCH:- This movie should be watched by the young generation, its shows a beautiful and relevant story, which will really impress the young generation of audience.
