Review: AR Rahman’s ‘One Heart’ captures the legendary musician’s journey on stage at concerts.

The movie unfolds as a series of songs performed by him at the concerts, along with on-camera interviews with Rahman and his team, it also has some off-stage footage from the tour (club-hopping in Nashville), and some recorded moments of the maestro with his family, which showcase his jovial side.

We get to experience Rahman’s other side in the movie, in one of the scenes we see him on a hot-air balloon ride, and then he calling his family and jokingly asking them, “Shall I jump?”.

In the movie, we also get a brief footage of Rahman and his wife Saira Banu during a photo shoot.

There is also an eerily prescient moment when Rahman says, “Fame is a double edged sword… I know all the love could change if you don’t deliver.” It makes us think of his recent Wembley concert fiasco, where there were reportedly walkouts because he did not sing enough Hindi songs.

The movie is an experience in itself where the musician talks about his careers ups and downs and how important it becomes to keep it going the positive way by keep delivering the best.  His relationship with his team mates the other musicians, singers in his team. You get to experience his beautiful numbers from like ‘Dil Se’, ‘Chinna Chinna Aasai’ and recent chartbusters like Nadhaan Parindey Why To Watch: This is a first-of-its-kind concert movie from India, and Rahman fans will surely savour this experience.
