Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi’ Poster Launch

Kangana Ranaut fans gear up to witness yet another brilliant performance of your favorite Bollywood 'Queen’ in her upcoming movie ‘Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi’. It is a biopic where she will be playing a role of a freedom fighter Rani Lakshmi Bai famously known as Jhansi Ki Rani. The actress and the team have planned a grand launch for the first Poster of the movie. On 4th Of May, the actress is planning to unveil 20 feet tall poster at the Dashashwamedh Ghat of Varanasi. Not only this, post the unveiling of the poster, Kangana and the entire team of Manikarnika will be seen performing an aarti of Holy River ‘Ganga’. The makers of the movie have chosen Varanasi because it is the birthplace of Rani Lakshmi Bai. In 1828 she was born in Varanasi to a Marathi Family. The film ‘ Manikarnika’ would be an action-packed flick and will be directed by 'Gabbar Is Back' director Krish Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi, otherwise known as Krish. The story of the movie has been penned by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who had previously written 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' and 'Baahubali: The Beginning'. Manikarnika is Rani Lakshmibai's birth name. She was the queen of the Maratha-ruled Jhansi State, situated in the north-central part of India and is known for her heroic fight against Britishers for Freedom. The shoot of ‘Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi’, will reportedly begin in the first week of June. Prior to ‘Manikarnika’, Kangana Ranaut will feature in Hansal Mehta's ‘Simran’ which is scheduled to release later this year.
