Weekend Box Office Collection Of 'Jagga Jasoos' And 'Shab'

Last Friday on 14th of July, the two movies that released across the country were ‘Jagga Jasoos’ and ‘Shab’. Where movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’ was a big budget and Big star cast movie, ‘Shab’ was a small budget movie with a less known star cast. The movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’ saw the light at the cinemas after several delays. The movie was directed by Anurag Basu and from the trailers looked quite impressive. The movie had Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif that was again a reason why the audience had high expectations from the movie. The movie opened at an occupancy rate of 20-25% and earned Rs. 8.57 Crore on its first day, Saturday the collections of the movie registered were Rs. 11.53 Crore and on Sunday the collections were Rs. 13.07 Crore. The total Box Office collection over the weekend from 1800 screen was Rs. 33.17 Crore. Jagga Jasoos Box Office Collection The movie was made on a staggering budget of Rs. 75 crore and so far has managed to reach half mark of its production cost. Let us wait and watch how much the movie gets on to earn in the following week and then decide on its verdict to be a Hit Or Flop. On the other hand, Onir’s movie ‘Shab’ that starred debutant Ashish Bisht, Raveena Tandon, Arpita Chatterjee and Areesz Gandii opened at Rs. 30 Approx. Lakhs and over the weekend has managed to earn Rs. 80 Lakhs.
