Last weekend witnessed 6 releases at the Box Office. The releases included, Arjun Rampal’s ‘Daddy’, Deol Brothers and Shreyas Talpade’s ‘Poster Boys’, Deepak Anand’s directed ‘The Rally’, Seema Kapoor’s ‘Mr. Kabaadi’, AR Rahman’s Concert Movie ‘One Heart’ and Intense drama ‘Sameer’.
All the movies are diverse and targeted a different set of audience. The movie ‘Daddy’ and ‘Poster Boys’ were the relatively big budget movies from the rest of the releases and had a known and popular star cast. All the movies received a moderate opening at Box Office Collection window.
Arjun Rampal’s movie ‘Daddy’ which was a biopic of Arun Gawil opened at Rs. 1.30 Crore on Friday and on Saturday it earned Rs. 1.50 Crore, On Sunday the movie went on to earn Rs. 1.80 Crore at the Box office and that makes its total as Rs. 4.60 Crore at the Box Office.
Whereas ‘Poster Boys’ which was a remake of hit Marathi movie and belonged to a comedy genre opened at Rs. 1.75 Crore and on Saturday the movie earned Rs. 2.40 at the Box Office window. On Sunday the movie’s collection was Rs. 3.10 and that makes the total earning from the first weekend as Rs. 7.25.
The other releases of the day got a dull opening at the Box Office and not expected to do that great in terms of business. The release from the previous week are also doing great at the Box Office and that is another reason of this week’s releases dull show.
