Tamil Film 'Visaranai' selected for 2017 Oscar Award in Foreign Language Category

National Awards winner Tamil Film 'Visaranai' has officially entered 2017 Oscar Awards in the Category of in Foreign Language film. Secretary General of Film Federation of India Supran Sen said, 'Vasaranai' has been selected from the list of 29 films. Actor-filmmaker Dhanush is the producer of this film. Ths film is directed by Vetrimaaran. Film is based on the novel Lock Up by M. Chandrakumar. Dinesh, Anandhi, and Aadukalam Murugadoss have plyed lead roles in the film. The film shows destruction, Corruption, and Injustice of Police. Dinesh wrote in Tamil on twotter, 'Visaaranai, Anbum, amaithiyum malarathum. May 'Love and peace' spread.' This film got three Award at 63rd National Award Fuction of Best Tamil Film, Best Supporting Actor (Samuthirakani), Best Editing (Kishore Te). THis film also won Amnesty International Italia award at 72nd Venice Film Festival. This film is written by Vetrimaaran. The story of the film is written by M. Chandrkumar. Music to the film is given by G. V. Prakash Kumar. The film was released last year at was hit at the box office.
