Yesterday, we heard that Sidharth Malhotra will be seen as Captain Vikram Batra in his biopic. Now, we know the heroic story of Captain Vikram Batra, he lost his life at the LOC Kargil war in 1999 and watching his full story will be interesting. This film might be Sidharth’s turning point, to be honest after making his debut in 2012; Sid has not done anything notable. Yes, he has given some decent performances in ‘Brothers’ and ‘Kapoor and Sons’, but still the actor has a lot more potential but it hasn’t been showcased as yet.
Recently, he was seen in ‘A Gentleman’ with Jacqueline Fernandez, where he was seen in a double role, the movie didn’t do well at the Box Office and went flat. And now the news has come that he might be seen in a double role again and this time in Captain Vikram Batra’s biopic. Now, we don’t know whether the director will go in that direction or not but Vikram had an identical twin Vishal, so if the director shows his twin brother in the movie, Sid would have to do it.
Twins and double roles are not new in Bollywood, recently we saw Arjun Kapoor’s ‘Mubarakan’, where he was in the double role and now Varun Dhawan will be seen in a double role in ‘Judwaa 2’. Now Vikram Batra’s biopic will obviously be different than these commercial films.
Vikram Batra has been portrayed on the big screen before in 2003 film ‘LOC Kargil’ by Abhishek Bachchan, but his twin was not shown in that movie maybe in his biopic, we will get to know more about his personal life and his twin.
Sidharth’s next film is ‘Ittefaq’ which is the remake of 1969 movie of the same name, it starred the iconic Rajesh Khanna in the lead role.
