Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar Unites for Ranveer’s Upcoming Simmba: Teaser Poster Released

It's been quite long since Rohit Shetty manifested an interest in a remake of Superhit movie Ram Lakhan, where Anil Kapoor was in the lead role. He wanted to take Ranveer Singh featuring as Lakhan where he will be playing Anil Kapoor's character of - a never-do-gooder who turns into a cop. In any case, that was not to be. However, it was a joint effort of Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh to bring Karan Johar as a producer for the film which has been titled as Simmba. The news came out with the release of Simmba Teaser today morning. Both Ranveer and  Karan shared the poster of Simmba in their Social media accounts which shows Ranveer in a Cop's uniform. In this primary look of Ranveer as Inspector Sangram Bhalerao the teaser poster resembles the look of Salman of Dabangg. He is wearing a handlebar mustache with a wide grin all over. As reported 'Simmba' is an Action movie in the lines of Singham. Though it started with the view of a remake of Ram Lakhan but, it differs from that. As the director Rohit Shetty confirmed that two stars would prefer not to work together, they simply need to advance each other's movies. So, the Ram Lakhan revamp isn't going on. From what has developed as of late, the film might be approximately in light of Jr NTR-starrer Temper. Rohit also affirmed that they have bought the rights to the South India movie to utilize four or five scenes from the movie.  Tamannaah Bhatia is expected to be the cast opposite Ranveer in Simmba. The film has already got a release date of  December 28, 2018. Ranveer as of now is anticipating his controversial release 'Padmavati' starring  Deepika Padukone in the lead role. Ranveer's Gully Boy and other projects are in line to see theatres in the coming year.
