Director Vishal Bhardwaj is famous for making tragedic ending movies and he also believes in Cinematic charisma. His film's cinematography is always amazing and mostly has the dark factor. He always has triangle love story in his films. Rangoon is also like that which mainly focuses on the love triangle between Russie, Nawab, and Miss Julia. Story The story of the film Rangoon is of artist and action queen Miss Julia (Kangana Ranaut) and she works in Russie (Saif Ali Khan)'s productions house. Both are deeply in love with each other, but in their love feelings are less and gratitude expressions are most. On the other hand, the second world war is going and the Leader Subhash Chandra Bose's army INA is fighting with British to make India independent. In the midst of this, a mission gets to start and in this mission, Miss Julia meets Nawab Malik (Shahid Kapoor) and she gets stuck with him. In that journey, Miss Julia falls in love with Nawab Malik and then the triangle of love gets started. Then the film gets to start with a patriotic climax. Performances Kangana Ranaut performance shows and tells the reason why she has chosen a film with two leading actors because her performance in the film has overshadowed everyone. Even Shahid and Saif are not seen whenever she has performed in the film. Shahid Kapoor also has done a good job as Hawaldar Nawab Malik and he has looked like a hero in the film in many scenes. Then Saif Ali Khan who has played antagonist as Mr. Russie has not gone up to the mark, or we can say that after seeing his performance in Omkara as Langda Tyagi, in this film of Vishal Bhardwaj he is like same what he has been for other movies. We have expected something more and aggressive performance from him. Direction This time Vishal Bhardwaj has not gone up to the mark and it was seeing in the film that he himself has got confused or has much responsibility to show all three characters perfectly. This burden on his shoulder has made him lost from depth from the story and screenplay. Rangoon could have been better if the script has many twists and turns like his other movies. Music The music of the film is also something which has not created buzz for the film, it would not be wrong to say that this time the music composer Vishal Bhardwaj has failed to give a good music in the film. No song of the film has been hit in the chartbusters even after releasing most of the songs. Why to Watch You can watch this film for the star cast which includes three big stars, then a story set in the backdrop of the second world. Don't go to watch this film keeping Haider and Omkara in mind.
