Fans have been eagerly waiting for the first trailer of the movie Raabta, which is scheduled to release on June 9. The over two minutes Trailer is basically a two-part story. First one shows, the age-old formula of a boy meet girl and fall in love and second half surprises suddenly with an angle of reincarnation. The movie is a south remake of Magadheera.
Despite the known story, the on-screen chemistry, foreign location, and steamy kissing scenes of Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sannon instantly creates the vibe inside you of a promising movie. But that dies down as soon as the second half of the trailer sets in with revelation of reincarnation with the introduction of Neerja-famed Jim Sarbh. Despite the promising acting of Sarbh and some good pre-historic war VFX (by Bollywood standards) the film starts to give you an impression of a bad movie plot which is a mix of love, action, and romance. In another added attraction, the movie played the popular song Raabta from Agent Vinod as its title track.
Bollywood has its fair share of reincarnation movies and it has failed to impress the audience lately. Debutant director Dinesh Vijaan has certainly taken a risk to kick-start his directorial career with such a plot. Producer-turned Director Vijaan has previously produced movies such as Badlapur, Cocktail, and Finding Fanny.
