Priyanka Chopra to launch Sikkim Film Industry

Priyanka Chopra is a very busy actress; she has been juggling her work in the Hollywood as well as Bollywood. Now, the actress is in Mumbai for the promotion of her upcoming film Baywatch with Dwayne Johnson. The actress launched the Baywatch Trailer in Mumbai. At the trailer launch of her upcoming film, Priyanka announced that she is going to launch Sikkim Film Industry in India. Talking about the same, the actress said that her home production company Purple Pebble Pictures will focus more on regional films. She runs her production company with her mother Madhu Chopra. Priyanka said that she is going to produce a Konkani film in addition to her Bengali project. But she also pointed that her main focus will be on launching a film industry in Sikkim. Talking about the same, actress said that she has already talked with the government of Sikkim. She is going to start this film pretty soon. She further added that she will take the local stars for Sikkim films. In addition to this, she will even try to grow the local technicians and stars. Her production’s Marathi venture “Ventilator” won three national awards this year. The movie won National Film Awards for best Director, Best Sound Mixing and Best Editing. Talking about her feeling about this, she said that this film is very close to her heart because she starts remembering her father after watching this film, as she has seen her father on a ventilator. Talking about her production ventures, Priyanka said that she will make small but sensible and content based films. When asked about the return of the third season of her popular American TV series Quantico, she said that she is not assured, because it all depends on the research of the team. She said that though she lives in the USA, but she never forgets to take care of all the things of her home production films. She even takes care of all the small-small things. When asked about her upcoming projects, she said that she has signed three Bollywood projects but didn’t reveal much detail.
