Plot: The movie ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ is the story of Suganndha and Mudit. The movie’s plot revolves around a wedding but the movie is based on an adult issue that is seldom discussed or talked about openly. The movie is an official remake of the Tamil hit ‘Kalyana Samayal Saadham’. The erectile dysfunction of Mudit comes to Sugandha’s notice before marriage and then slowly gets disclosed to their parents and then all the relative. The story is unusual and entertaining and something extremely fresh with the right amount of comedy around the sensitive situation.

Review: From the trailers, only the movie Shubh Mangal Saavdhan was appearing to be a good comedy movie handling a sensitive topic of gent’s issue. The audiences were already impressed with the trailer of the movie and to be frank the movie is only going to entertain them further. The movie is packed up with right kind of humour and the director, the screenplay writer has done a perfect job with the treatment of the movie. Though the movie touches a very crucial and adult topic as it main base yet, you never see it going in a wrong direction, and you are kept entertained and laughing all through the movie.

Sugandha Joshi (Bhumi Pednekar). Who’s getting engaged with Mudit Sharma (Ayushmann Khurrana) both the leads tell their sweet little flashback story themselves, how Sugandha and Mudit fall in this love-cum arranged marriage. Then just a week before the marriage the two get a chance to get intimate and that is when Mudit’s ‘Gent’s Problem’ comes into the picture.

It is just entertaining to watch Sugandha’s reaction when she gets to know the issue then when both of their parents react to it and then comes the ways tried by the couple and family members to handle the issue and that is how the story progresses.

Directed by RS Prasanna, who helmed the original Tamil version too does an outstanding job with the detailing and execution of the movie. The music of the movie is also fused well with the script and doesn’t hamper the momentum of the story.

Why To Watch: The movie openly talks about a hush-hush affair and gets the topic to limelight with a light hearted comedy. This surely shows how the Bollywood movies are evolving with time and how directors are getting daring and bold with the subjects they pick. It is an entertaining watch and all the actor, be it the ones in the lead or the supporting ones all have done a tremendous job. We recommend all to give it a watch.
