Plot – The story balances on a past (Previous birth) and a present (Rebirth) of Shiv and Shaira. Both of them find an instant connection and wonder about the reason behind it. And like every reincarnation movie of Bollywood, this one also has past birth dreams, prophecies and déjà vu moments. The movie has the protagonist couple and an antagonist who was the reason for their separation in the past life and has taken a rebirth to separate them this time again. Review – Bollywood has witnessed some awesome reincarnation storytelling in the past. Movies like ‘Karz’, ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Karan Arjun’ have set a benchmark of sorts which is just impossible to break. But yes ‘Raabta’, though can’t be counted amongst the above-mentioned movies still is sure to leave a mark of its own when it comes to dealing with the topic of reincarnation. The movie has a decent balance between the Past and Present, but as a viewer, you wish to remain more in the present of the story than in the past. The past of the movie looks too old and drab. The costumes and the make-up are also not so appealing. The crackling chemistry of Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon brings a smile to your face, though their frequent use of ‘tu’ at times bothers you. Jim Sarbh in a negative role looks over obsessive and annoying. His strange accent adds to the irritation and his role sometimes look to barbaric to believe. In our view, the only person who stands out, charms you, makes you smile, make you feel sad is only and only Sushant Singh Rajput. His brilliant performance in the movie as a flirtatious, cute ‘Punjabi Munda’ shines through the movie. The actor very naturally pulled off some of the cheesy dialogues in the movie. However his famous and our favourite one remains ‘ Ladki To Main Hi Lejaunga’. Direction – The direction of the movie has been done by Dinesh Vijan. He has debuted in direction with ‘Raabta’. For the first time, the direction is perfect for larger than life love story. Music – The music of the movie made to the chartbusters much before the movie released. The makers intelligently shared all the soulful songs of the movie periodically. The song ‘Raabta’ which is a recreation of the hit melody 'Raabta' from Saif Ali Khan starrer 'Agent Vinod', is one of the most loved songs of the movie and features Deepika Padukone.  The movie has another number that has been taken from a Punjabi music album which is song ‘Main Tera boyfriend’. The song was already a big hit party number and Sushant’s excellent flawless, free flowing dance on it adds to the foot tapping number. Why To Watch – The movie has one of the most hit formula of Bollywood storytelling ‘Reincarnation’ ‘Re-birth’.  So in case you are a fan of such stories ‘Raabta’ is a must watch for you. Otherwise, the only reason to go and watch the movie is to witness Sushant Singh Rajput Act. https://youtu.be/F12XDJK2m5s
