PLOT: - Three morons Ritesh Deshmukh, Vikram Thapa and Bhuvan Arora attempt to rob a bank. But their plan goes haywire when police and CBI come to know about the robbery. Enters Vivek Oberoi as the badass cop. He takes them too seriously and thinks they are planning something big while Reha Chakroborty as a journalist presenting live updates from the scene.
REVIEW: - While promoting the movie, ‘
Bank Chor’ has done unthinkable. They promote their movie by taking a dig at themselves and to some extent it has worked. To be frank, the movie has nothing in terms of story and script but in terms of entertainment, this is awesome. The director Bumby has really shown the movie in a way that in keeps the audience intrigued. Ritesh Deshmukh has done a good job as moron robber, who doesn’t know what to do next. This is one of the funniest films made in quite some time. There is not a single moment in the film where the audience feels bored.
Until the first half, the movie is good and in the second half when Vivek Oberoi enters the scene, it becomes even better. He played the role of a badass cop, who wants to break the bones of robbers. Names like Champak and Gulab makes it even funnier. The director tried to show a religious side of the robber Ritesh Deshmukh, who believes in ‘kshatra’, he prays to Ganesh Ji while robbing. Reha Chakroborty, who has made quite an impact in the Industry lately, makes a very well performed screen presence. Her scenes in the movie are hilarious and full of comedy. She tries to be intelligent but she is not. Apparently, what steals the show is Vivek Oberoi, he thinks that these morons are planning something big, whereas they are screwed. Vivek’s look in the movie describes his attitude. He is one of the best parts of the movie and we can say that the role of Amjad Khan was meant for Vivek.
The story is written very intelligently, the twists and turns in the movie will make you go ‘WTF’, there are suspense and thrill, which will make you sit throughout the whole movie. We have to mention Vikram Thapa and Bhuvan Arora, who helps Ritesh in bank robbing, they are phenomenal. There was a film in 2013 ‘Fukrey’, and there was a character in that film ‘Chucha’, played by Varun Sharma. Vikram Thapa and Bhuvan Arora will give you the glimpse of him.
The movie could have been predictable but Bumby manages to give suspense taste to the film and when it ends you will go ‘wow’.
WHY SHOULD YOU WATCH: - The movie has all the element, what every comedy movie should have. It is one of the best comedy movie made in quite some time.
Ritesh Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi are awesome. We have seen them in ‘Masti’ franchise but we can say that this is their best collaboration so far. Everything in the movie is awesome.
