Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Indu Sarkar' Tells The Story Of Emergency Period In India

Film Maker Madhur Bhandarkar is all set to release his upcoming ‘Indu Sarkar’ with Kirti Kulhari, Tota Roy Choudhury, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Anupam Kher on 28th July 2017. The ace filmmaker who is known for directing films such as ‘Chandni Bar’, ‘Page 3’ and ‘Fashion’ is back yet again with another eye-opening topic. This time the director is telling us a story of 1975 when the Emergency was declared in our country, Indian and how a common man’s freedom of expression and civil liberties were suppressed during those times. The director says that it is very important for our present generation to know what exactly happened at the time of emergency and what were the situations like at that time. He intends to tell the detailed view of those 21 months long duration when the country when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi unilaterally had a state of emergency declared across the country. The movie 'Indu Sarkar' is said to bring the truth behind it all. Some time back the director posted a first look of the movie showcasing the actress Kirti Kulhari who was last seen in movie ‘PINK’, all bruised sitting on the floor. The director tweeted the first look of the movie and thanked the actress on the social platform for showing the full conviction for the role assigned to her.  The movie will show Neil Nitin Mukesh in the role of Sanjay Gandhi.
