Deepika Padukone To Portray Sapna Didi, An Underworld Lady Don Soon

Deepika Padukone has been going slow and intelligent with the projects she takes up. At present, the actress is wholeheartedly working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ where she will be seen in a Titular role. Recently we told you that the actress is soon to start her next project with her ‘Piku’ co-star Irrfan Khan in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next, well, the news is now confirmed and this too that the movie will be another period drama which would be based on S Hussain Zaidi’s novel, ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’. In the movie, Deepika Padukone will be seen as a female don Rahima Khan aka Sapna Didi, who made a plan to kill the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim to avenge her husband’s murder. But, unfortunately, the Don gets a clue of Rahima’s scheme and he kills her before she could take her revenge. The movie will be produced by Vishal Bharadwaj in association with KriArj Entertainment and will be directed by a new director Honey Trehan. The news is that as soon as Deepika will wrap-up her shoot for Padmavati, she will start preparing for her role in the movie. Actor Irrfan Khan is also said to have an important role in the movie Irrfan Khan plays the man who trained her in her mission to avenge her husband’s death.
