Alia Bhatt will play a lead in hindi remake of 'OK Kanmini'

Director Mani Ratnam's this year's april release tamil film 'Ok kanmini' will be going to remade in hindi, this hindi adaptation of the film will be directed by Mani Ratnam's assistant director Shaad ali. Yashraj Film appointed Shaad after saw his work in Mani Ratnam's films. Shaad made films like 'Sathiya', 'Bunty aur Bubli', 'jhoom brabar jhoom' and 'Kill Dill' for Yashraj Films. 'Sathiya' was the remake of Mani Ratnam's film 'Alaypauthe', then he made 'Bunty aur Bubli' which also was a hit at the box office. He also made two films after 'Bunty aur Bubli' but both the films got flopped at the box office. While Shaad becomes a independent filmmaker,but  he continues assisting Mani Ratnam. Shaad had completed four film contract with yashraj films. Because both last releases film got flop then Shaad is now again trying to make a remake of his mentor's recent release. This film will be made under Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Karan Johar also presented the hindi version of this year's blockbuster telugu film 'Bahubali'. Now Karan Johar is also looking a hit film in 'Ok kanmini' remake. The casting of lead roles is on card to talk with actors like Sonakshi Sinha, Shradhha Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Siddharth Malhotra but there are rumors that Alia Bhatt is playing a lead role in the film. Nithya Menon was played the lead role in the tamil film, so looking a bubbly girl in Bollywood there is single name which came to Karan's name is Alia Bhatt, who proves herself playing a bubbly role in 'Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania'.
