Akshay Kumar’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ Gets Into Copyright Issue

Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ is just a month away from its release and now a news is coming that the movie gets into copyright issues. The film is a satirical take on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ campaign, where Akshay Kumar tries to change everyone’s mind to have a toilet in their home. Now, a filmmaker Praveen Vyas came with an allegations that his 2016 docu-feature ‘Manini’ is similar to the ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. Praveen also alleged that even the scenes and the interaction between the characters in the trailer are same. Vyas added that no one could make any another cinematographic work or any other copied work without his written consent if their work directly resembled his work. Praveen has sent a legal notice to the team of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. Well, they responded to their own legal team. They will be fighting in the case now. The makers of the movie completely denied all the allegations. They said that the script is written by Siddharth and Garima. Well, this is certainly not the first time Siddharth and Garima faced the copyright issues, last month in June, they were accused of ‘Raabta’, at the end they won the case, and ‘Raabt’ released on 9th June and flopped. Let’s see what happens with ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, it is about to release on 11th of August. Most probably nothing will happen to the movie and it will release and will get a good response.
