Akshay Kumar And Mouni Roy To Start Shooting For ‘Gold’ In August

Mouni Roy is one of the most popular actresses of Indian Television today and things are looking very bright for the young actress. She will play an important role in Akshay Kumar’s next movie titled ‘Gold’. ‘Gold’ is based on the life of Balbir Singh who was the first-ever gold medal winner at the Olympics post-Independence. As the reports suggest the movie will go on floors from August. Actress Mouni Roy will be seen in a whole different ‘avatar’ in the movie which suits that era. She will be playing one of the important female characters in the movie and will be with the team for 20-25 days shoot schedule. Recently she was seen in a small cameo in ‘Tum Bin 2’. But here she will have to showcase more of her acting ability on the big screen. The actress got popular with her TV serial ‘Naagin’. Her looks and acting skills both outshines in the tv series and made her a household name. Now it will be interesting to watch if she is able to make a similar impact on the silver screen. As per the reports, Kunal Kapoor will also be seen in the movie. The director Reema Kagti, who has been working on the script for quite some time now says, “It’s my most ambitious film. It is a human drama, which follows 12 crucial years in India's history as well”.
