Ajay Devgn's Next Movie Will Be On Raniganj Rescue Operation

The face of Indian cinema has totally changed from what it used to be in earlier times. The movies made earlier were heavily family oriented with a hint of a love story. But now the moviemakers have stepped out of the threshold of the houses and have been making thoughtful stories. Recently the trend of making biopics and movies on the real life heroes of the society has picked up. And going by the trend Actor Ajay Devgn has seemingly taken the rights to play the role of JS Gill on screen. JS Gill is an engineer who bravely executed a rescue operation and saved the lives of 64 miners during the collapse of Mahabir Colliery at Raniganj, West Bengal. Around 220 miners were trapped inside when the walls of the mines collapsed. While those who were close to the lift got pulled out, but still 64 of them were dangerously trapped inside the Mine. Gill supervised a special rescue mission and heroically went down the shaft, and rescued the miners and after making sure that everyone is safe he took the last ride to go up. The operation lasted close to six hours. The movie is said to be helmed by Tinu Suresh Desai who last directed Akshay Kumar starrer movie Rustom and will jointly be produced by the actor Ajay Devgn himself and Abhinav Shukla. A source close to the project revealed that the makers have acquired the official rights to make a movie on the life story of JS Gill and the team is now working on the script. Actor Ajay Devgn will be starting working on the untitled project from next year.
